  • Any classroom can use this handy video-transforming tool. Teachers and students can customise online videos to encourage critical thinking, reflection, and response. The original video and quizzes or comments will determine how much viewers learn, but this could create a more learner-centred classroom. Informative, engaging videos can encourage students to watch and critique actively. Teachers can easily upload videos; Khan Academy and other teachers’ videos make great starting points.
  • Passively watching online videos requires only lower-level thinking skills, but isolating and encouraging interaction with the most important parts of a video increases relevance and depth of learning, mainly if teachers use supplemental resources and links. If teachers let students research, create, and share video lessons, critical thinking skills like analysis and information-seeking can transform knowledge.
