| What is HIIT? The primary goal of HIIT is to equip Higher Education STEM teachers with the self-efficacy, competencies, and skills needed to understand the Instructional Technology principles and structures, leverage them rapidly to reduce the impact of closure and preserve the inclusive nature of learning opportunities. The HIIT framework enables Higher Education STEM teachers to understand how to use learning technologies and digital tools in subject-specific teaching and learning in a systematic way. It will improve readiness for digital education, help them apply the principles of instructional technology horizontally throughout their teaching, and choose the right technology or tool for the proper context to achieve their learning goals. Expected Results of HIIT: Curriculum and Syllabus defining the learning context; learning objectives contents and curriculum and skills assessment method. Complete set of learning content & materials with related skills assesment method. E-learning space with integrated content and assessment method. |
| O objetivo principal do HIIT é capacitar os professores do Ensino Superior em STEM (Ciência, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática) com autoeficácia, competências e habilidades necessárias para compreender os princípios e estruturas da Tecnologia Instrucional, aproveitando-as rapidamente para reduzir o impacto do encerramento e preservar a natureza inclusiva das oportunidades de aprendizagem. O quadro do HIIT permite aos professores do Ensino Superior em STEM compreender como utilizar tecnologias de aprendizagem e ferramentas digitais no ensino e aprendizagem específicos da sua disciplina de forma sistemática. Isso melhorará a prontidão para a educação digital, ajudando-os a aplicar os princípios da tecnologia instrucional horizontalmente ao longo do seu ensino e a escolher a tecnologia ou ferramenta certa para o contexto adequado, alcançando assim os seus objetivos de aprendizagem. |

A Universidade de Ege é uma instituição orientada para a pesquisa e o ensino, formando estudantes até o nível de doutorado. No total, 70.000 alunos estão matriculados na Universidade de Ege e o número de professores académicos é aproximadamente 3.500. |
| The University of Beira Interior (UBI) is one of the most recent public universities in Portugal but it is also a landmark institution in the educational, research, innovation, business, entrepreneurship and informatics fields. Over the years, the evolution of the number of educational programs and the number of students has been increasing, having surpassed the 7500 students from across the country and 300 from all over the world. Aiming to provide a solid educational and scientific background to his students in different fields of knowledge, UBI presents 27 first cycle programs, 47 second cycle programs and 26 third cycle programs. The university presents various learning and research facilities, structured in 5 Faculties – Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Letters and Faculty of Health Sciences – and 14 research units that had been carefully implemented and range from aeronautics to computing, electro mechanics, health, mathematics, optics, education, psychology, telecommunications, textile and paper materials and management and entrepreneurship. Regarding the human resources, UBI has currently more than 1100 employees, of which more than 600 are teachers and researchers. |
| A Universidade "Angel Kanchev" de Ruse, fundada em 1945, é uma universidade pública localizada na cidade de Ruse, no nordeste da Bulgária, na margem direita do rio Danúbio. A universidade possui oito faculdades: Faculdade de Engenharia Elétrica, Eletrónica e Automação, Faculdade Agrária e Industrial, Faculdade de Engenharia Mecânica e de Fabricação, Faculdade de Transportes, Faculdade de Negócios e Gestão, Faculdade de Ciências Naturais e Educação, Faculdade de Direito, Faculdade de Saúde Pública. Os estudantes são educados em vários níveis, oferecendo programas de licenciatura, mestrado e doutorado, bem como educação continuada e pesquisa em 29 campos profissionais credenciados. A universidade tem mais de 8.000 estudantes, incluindo cerca de 450 estudantes internacionais e 150 estudantes de doutorado, 450 professores, professores associados e assistentes professores. Desde o surgimento da situação da COVID-19 em 2020, todos os professores começaram a lecionar em um ambiente digital. Isso é implementado com a ajuda de várias plataformas e softwares, como a Plataforma de e-Learning da universidade e diferentes plataformas de comunicação síncrona. |

| HIIT Multiplier Event 1 – Online Learning Environment |
| The first multiplier event called “HIIT Online Learning Environment” of the project “HIIT: Higher Education Teachers and Institutions and Instructional Technology” supported by the Irish National Agency within the scope of the EU ERASMUS+ program, of which Ege University is a partner, was held on 20/10/2023 at the AROM (Research Oriented Student Center) event hall on Ege University campus. In the event, the HIIT Online Learning Environment, which serves as open access to all university lecturers teaching in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields on instructional technologies and their applications in courses, the educational contents and supporting tools in the environment were introduced. |
