| What is HIIT? The primary goal of HIIT is to equip Higher Education STEM teachers with the self-efficacy, competencies, and skills needed to understand the Instructional Technology principles and structures, leverage them rapidly to reduce the impact of closure and preserve the inclusive nature of learning opportunities. The HIIT framework enables Higher Education STEM teachers to understand how to use learning technologies and digital tools in subject-specific teaching and learning in a systematic way. It will improve readiness for digital education, help them apply the principles of instructional technology horizontally throughout their teaching, and choose the right technology or tool for the proper context to achieve their learning goals. Expected Results of HIIT: Curriculum and Syllabus defining the learning context; learning objectives contents and curriculum and skills assessment method. Complete set of learning content & materials with related skills assesment method. E-learning space with integrated content and assessment method. |
| HIIT'in temel amacı, HE STEM öğretmenlerini Öğretim Teknolojisinin ilkelerini ve yapılarını anlamak için gereken öz-yeterlik, yeterlilikler ve becerilerle donatmak ve kapanışın etkisini azaltmak ile öğrenme fırsatlarının kapsayıcı doğasını korumak için bunlardan hızla yararlanmaktır. HIIT çerçevesi, HE STEM öğretmenlerinin konuya özel öğretme ve öğrenmede sistematik bir şekilde öğrenme teknolojilerinden ve dijital araçlardan maksimum düzeyde nasıl yararlanacaklarını anlamalarını sağlar. Dijital eğitime hazır olma durumunu geliştirecek ve öğretim teknolojisi ilkelerini öğretimleri boyunca yatay olarak uygulamalarına ve öğrenme hedeflerine ulaşabilmeleri için doğru bağlam için doğru teknolojiyi veya aracı seçmelerine yardımcı olacaktır. |

| Established in 1845, NUI Galway is a research-led university ranked in the top 250 universities globally (QS and Times Higher World University Ranking), employing in excess of 2,000 staff with a 17,000-strong student population. | The University of Beira Interior (UBI) is one of the most recent public universities in Portugal but it is also a landmark institution in the educational, research, innovation, business, entrepreneurship and informatics fields. Over the years, the evolution of the number of educational programs and the number of students has been increasing, having surpassed the 7500 students from across the country and 300 from all over the world. Aiming to provide a solid educational and scientific background to his students in different fields of knowledge, UBI presents 27 first cycle programs, 47 second cycle programs and 26 third cycle programs. The university presents various learning and research facilities, structured in 5 Faculties – Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Letters and Faculty of Health Sciences – and 14 research units that had been carefully implemented and range from aeronautics to computing, electro mechanics, health, mathematics, optics, education, psychology, telecommunications, textile and paper materials and management and entrepreneurship. Regarding the human resources, UBI has currently more than 1100 employees, of which more than 600 are teachers and researchers. |
| 1945 yılında kurulan Rusçuk Üniversitesi “Angel Kançev”, Bulgaristan'ın kuzeydoğusunda, Tuna nehrinin sağ kıyısındaki Rusçuk şehrinde bulunan bir devlet üniversitesidir. Üniversitenin sekiz fakültesi bulunmaktadır: Elektrik Mühendisliği Fakültesi, Elektronik ve Otomasyon Fakültesi, Tarım ve Endüstri Fakültesi, Makine ve İmalat Mühendisliği Fakültesi, Ulaştırma Fakültesi, İşletme ve Yönetim Fakültesi, Doğa Bilimleri ve Eğitim Fakültesi, Hukuk Fakültesi, Fakülte Halk Sağlığı. Öğrenciler, standart lisans, yüksek lisans ve doktora programlarının yanı sıra sürekli eğitim ve 29 akredite mesleki alanda araştırma sunan çeşitli farklı seviyelerde eğitim almaktadır. Üniversitenin yaklaşık 450 uluslararası öğrenci ve 150 doktora öğrencisi, 450 profesör, doçent ve yardımcı doçent olmak üzere 8000'den fazla öğrencisi bulunmaktadır. 2020 yılında COVID-19 durumunun ortaya çıkmasından bu yana tüm öğretim görevlileri dijital ortamda ders vermeye başladı. Bu, üniversitenin e-Öğrenim Platformu, farklı senkron iletişim platformları gibi çeşitli platform ve yazılımların yardımıyla uygulanmaktadır. |

| HIIT Multiplier Event 1 – Online Learning Environment |
| The first multiplier event called “HIIT Online Learning Environment” of the project “HIIT: Higher Education Teachers and Institutions and Instructional Technology” supported by the Irish National Agency within the scope of the EU ERASMUS+ program, of which Ege University is a partner, was held on 20/10/2023 at the AROM (Research Oriented Student Center) event hall on Ege University campus. In the event, the HIIT Online Learning Environment, which serves as open access to all university lecturers teaching in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields on instructional technologies and their applications in courses, the educational contents and supporting tools in the environment were introduced. |
